Key Test Data for December 2023

The monthly comparisons of Total Lots, Bales and Weight tested for December 2023 compared with the same period last season are:
 -12.2%, -7.4% and -7.0% respectively.

The progressive comparison of Total Lots, Bales and Weight tested for July 2023 to December 2023 compared with the same period last season are:
+2.0%, +4.1% and +3.7% respectively.

AWTA Ltd has tested 142.8 mkg (million kilograms) this season compared with 135.1 mkg for the equivalent period last season.

New wool traceability hub expected to be launched at IWTO Congress in Adelaide 2024

The new Australian Wool Traceability Hub (AWTH) is expected to be up and running by the beginning of the next wool-selling season as the industry collaborates to mitigate the risk of a potential Emergency Animal Disease outbreak.

The AWTH has been two years in the making and was initiated following a WoolProducers Australia report recommending better “end to end” traceability of wool bales.
