AWTA EDI Network Upgrade

AWTA Ltd is required to upgrade the AWTM EDI network in order to keep systems up-to-date with current software and security standards.  Implementation of this update is scheduled for Sunday, 5 March 2023.

Wool Industry software providers have been advised of the update or cutover date and provided with access to a “Test” version of the system to evaluate beforehand.

All existing EDI data and formats will be migrated in the background and deployment will be transparent, allowing subscribers to continue their business as usual.

Should users have any questions or concerns about the impact of this change on their systems, they should contact their software provider for clarification.
Any users that encounter problems with the AWTM network after this cutover should email our support staff at edisupport@awta.com.au for a prompt response.

Checking the Status of Tests in the Raw Wool Laboratory

AWTA has a free service called “Test Status” transmissions which provide customers with regular updates on the progress of tests in the Laboratory.  Specifically it provides information about sample receipt, transmitted coreline data, Length/Strength Samples and check-testing.  This includes the date when an internal check test or L/S resample is generated and once the resample has been received, which provides valuable feedback on the reason for any delays and alerts customers to the potential unavailability of sale lots for cataloguing.

Customers pick up this data from AWTA over our EDI network in a similar manner to how you would retrieve test certificate data, and you should contact your software provider to determine how the information is processed and presented in your wool systems.  Should you wish to take advantage of this free service, please email either lab.mel@awta.com.au of lab.fre@awta.com.au and request activation of the Test Status (TS) service.
